Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens Trip
4000 Morikami Park Road, Delray, FL

 Carpool Trip: Leave at 8:30 am Sharp from Pin Oak Club House, Jensen Beach Country Club. 

Enjoy 16 acres of authentic Roji-en Japanese Gardens: Garden of the Drops of Dew and a
bonsai garden. The rotating exhibitions of Japanese art in the museum's galleries, an
authentic tea house, museum store, and the award winning Cornell Cafe, which has been featured
on the Food Network all offer a restoring experience delighting all of your senses. The park
and museum are named after George Morikami, a native of Miyazu, Japan, who donated his farm
to Palm Beach County to be used as a park.

10:00 AM – Arrive
10:30 AM - Noon - Meet with a museum Docent, watch a short video, visit the museum & gift shop.
Noon - 1 PM - Lunch on your own Cornell Cafe (Everyone will order what they wish) or bring your own lunch to enjoy to eat on the grounds
1:00 - 2:30 PM - Walk the garden paths and take in the views from the occasional benches

Cost:   Seniors   $13 (65+)
       Adults    $15

Flamingo Gardens

 Visit 60 Acres of Tropical Paradise! The Wray Botanical Collection features over
3000 species of rare & exotic, tropical, subtropical, and native plants.
The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary is home to the largest collection (over 90 species)
of native wildlife including Otters, Eagles, Panthers, Peacocks, Bobcats and Flamingos.
Specialized gardens include Butterfly, Hummingbird, Croton, and Bromeliad.
Narrated 30 minute Tram tour through a tropical rainforest and some of the
last natural jungle growth in Florida.

 

8:00 AM - Meet at Treasure Coast Mall by Macy's
8:30 AM - Bus departs
10:30 AM - Arrival at Flamingo Gardens. We will be met by our tour guide, John
10:30 AM - 2:30 PM - Included in this time we will:
       * Take a 30 Minute Narrated Tram tour.
       * Lunch (on your own) at the Flamingo Cafe,
           the Garden Grill, or bring your own lunch.

Wildlife Encounter Show (60 Minutes)
       *
Visit the Wray Home Museum
       * Visit the Wray Botanical Gardens
2:30 PM -Departure (Return time 4:30-5:00 PM)

Cost: $45  We will be traveling by coach (with a bathroom) for this event.

 River Lilly Eco-Cruise

 Meander up the pristine North Fork of the St Lucie River in the covered pontoon boat
reserved just for our group. Relax and enjoy the "Old Florida" feel as you see turtles, birds,
alligators and other wildlife on this 1 1/2 hour guided tour. Bring your
binoculars & cameras. Bring your own beverage.
